About Performance Injection

While our name, Performance Injection, would lead you to believe we deal only in fuel injection systems, that's not the case. We offer a wide range of performance products with fuel injection systems being our main specialty. Our company goal is to provide quality products at affordable prices with a personalized touch not always found with larger companies. While the company is relatively new, it is backed by many, many years of experience in the performance industry, primarily on the manufacturing side.

Jim Davis got his start in the performance industry many years ago, publishing two automotive magazines; Stock Car Racing and Super Stock & Drag Illustrated. From publishing he went on to establish one of the largest ad agencies specializing in performance automotive products with offices in Los Angeles, Detroit, and Washington D.C. From there he assumed the position of president of B&M Performance and Racing, a post he held for 18 years. Then he had a short stint as president of Russell Performance Products, After Russel he co-founded Professional Products where he was Chief Operating Officer, a position that he held for 15 years.

Prior to his career in business, he was a very successful drag racer, holding several NHRA class records during this period. During his tenure at B&M he was involved in a number of project vehicles including the famous "Limefire" with Pete Chapouris and several projects with famed street rod builder Roy Brizio. He was the moving force behind the creation of the B&M Neon Camaro, a 1967 model with an 804 HP blown big block Chevy. He headed up the building of the B&M Project Street Rod, a full fendered '32 Roadster that he now owns along with a Brizio built '33 3W coupe. Both cars feature B&M blown small block Chevy engines. The roadster made one sample pass on the quarter mile and ran 11.61-120, not bad for a totally streetable daily driver. These cars are driven on a regular basis.
